TikTok Shop Setup - Content + Posting

Hey, what's going on, guys?

This is Dan here with Join Brands and today we are going to walk through setting up a TikTok shop campaign through Join Brands.

So I know Join Brands has a lot to offer.

We've got our new outreach agent, we've got our social blast, we've got a retainer campaigns lot to pick from.

But if you're just looking for some help getting started on your first couple of campaigns, getting those first few creators in the door for you, this is going to be for you.

So we'll start off here in our dashboard and getting a campaign set up.

So we'll go ahead and go to Content plus posting and then selecting our content type, we're going to go to TikTok shop.

So in order to start a TikTok shop campaign, it's going to require you to connect your shop to the platform.

So here we've got our account linked up and then from there we're going to go ahead and select our product.

So remember, with each campaign you can only have one product at a time.

So we're going to go in here, here's all the products that it pulls in and we're going to pick this guy right here, go select and it's going to pull everything in from TikTok.

So we've got, the product link, it pulls in the commission.

The only thing that it doesn't pull in is the shop ad, since we know that something that people like to play with.

So if you want to offer shop ads, that's something that creators love to see, obviously opportunity for them to make some more money.

so you can, we'll go ahead and set this at 10%.

You can see what the total commission payouts will be down here.

scrolling down here, we get to the TikTok shop product link.

So this is going to be the link that creators are going to buy the product from.

So again on Join Brands, rather than sending out free samples to the creators, we actually have our creators buy your product upfront so you get that sales attribution on your shop and they will get reimbursed for that sample later down the line once the campaign is complete.

So the product link is, this is where they're going to buy it from.

We also have the option to have the creators buy it from an existing video that you guys already have.

we can get more into that in a later video and kind of the use cases for that, but for now we'll just leave it at the product link price per job.

The default price is going to be $100.

This is generally what creators are used to.

This is what these content plus posting campaigns have been at for quite some time.

If you would like, we often see folks go a little bit higher.

If you want to offer some more money, try to attract some even higher level creators.

or if you wanted to go a little bit lower, you can go as little as $50 on these campaigns.

and with the content plus posting, these typically bring in those higher level creators versus a social blog.

So you'll still get a great creator mix, whatever you put your price at.

But generally $100 is kind of the default, so we'll leave that at $100.

moving down here, this is a new feature that we just rolled out a couple of weeks ago that we're super excited about.

You can now allow creators to make multiple pieces of content on one campaign.

So rather than hiring them, they make one video.

And that is you can now allow creators now that they already have your product, they already kind of know your brand, they know what you're looking for.

so from there, pumping out content becomes a lot easier.

So you're hiring them for that initial video for $100 and you can let them make, let's say additional, additional five videos for another $20 each.

So from the creator standpoint, they're making more money, they have more opportunities to go viral, to make more sales, generate more gmv.

and then on your end as the brand, this is obviously more content for you and the more the merrier when it comes to the TikTok shop.

Space is totally up to you to play around with.

You can put this number, I've seen, you know, brands put this as high as, you know, 100, 100 plus videos.

They're just trying to get as much content as they can.

we'll just keep this at 5 for an additional $20 each.

So you can play around with both of these.

The content brief, this is going to be the primary section that creators are going to be using when they're putting their content together.

So this is where you, the brand get to kind of steer the ship on what you want this content to look like.

So giving the creators, you know, different hooks to use, different kind of video angles, different styles, certain things to highl, certain things to maybe stay away from, certain call to actions.

This is where you really get to take the reins on how this campaign turns out.

So if you already have an existing creator brief that you've already typed up, somebody did for you, you can post that in here.

but if you need help coming up with a content brief, we actually have our own built in AI tool that does a really great job of that.

This is specifically designed for TikTok shop videos.

So usually just go in here, it'll pull in the product description from your page and use hit, generate and just give some time to think.

And this is going to spit out a TikTok shop friendly sort of format.

So you can see we've got a couple opening hooks, we've got the setup, product reveal, certain things to highlight, demo instructions, call to action.

So this does a really good job.

We put a lot of work into this and then once that's done you can go ahead and hit use this brief.

That'll pull it in here.

And if you want you can either keep this as is or from here you can edit it, play around with it and just kind of use this as a template.

But this does a really good job of giving you a really quality content brief.

Moving down here, we get into performance bonuses.

So these are going to be performance based incentives that you can offer to creators.

This is going to be awesome because when creators are going through our dashboard and they're picking out which campaigns they want to apply to, they can see which campaigns have these performance bonuses.

And this is generally going to bring in more attention, more eyeballs, more applications because obviously it's an opportunity for them to make a little bit of additional money.

So you can offer performance based bonuses based on different kinds of criteria.

So for TikTok shop, a great marker would be, would be GMV.

So you can tell the creators like, hey, if you can generate, if you can generate $200 of GMV, you know, you'll get a $20 bonus and you can even add layers onto this.

So you can say, you know, $200 for a $20 bonus or if you can do $500, that's you know, another $50 bonus.

you can do it for likes, comments, shares, even videos posted.

So if someone posts, let's say five videos, then they'll get another $40 bonus.

So a lot of great different performance based incentives that you can offer to creators and that's going to really help, you know, help a lot because you know, the more, the more you give, the more you get.

the desired date for posting, this is a new addition as well.

So this is something that's more of a suggestion.

We can't necessarily enforce this, but let's say if you Have a product that's launching on a certain date, or if you're planning this around like a holiday is, you can let your creators know, like, hey, I want you to have this video posted by, you know, month by, by June 30th or whatever it is.

You definitely want to give the creators time to, you know, order the product, get the product, make the content, submit it for approval, get it approved.

so definitely want to give yourself a little bit of a Runway if you do end up doing this.

But again, this is totally up to you.

rest of this is, you know, caption, any kind of specific hashtags you want them to use, pages you want them to tag, things like that, reference videos.

If you have anything you want the creator to have, just kind of use inspiration to get an idea of what you're looking for.

You can drop that in there.

Next up, creator parameters.

Generally, folks leave this as is unless you have a very specific kind of creator profile in mind.

You can play around with this with gender, age, ethnicity, any kind of special requirements.

but again, most folks just leave this as is in order to get the biggest creator pool.

And then for the creator approval, we definitely recommend keeping this at manual approval.

this means that when creators come in is you get to manually pick and choose who you get to, who you get to approve to work with you.

Counteroffer if you want to allow creators to submit a counteroffer.

remember we set our price per job at $100, but let's say you get a really high quality, really experienced creator that converts really well.

oftentimes those creators will come back and, and they'll say like, hey, I'd love to work with you for, you know, 150, $200, whatever it is, you can kind of go back and forth with creators until you find that agreement.

So definitely would recommend keeping this on.

But if you just want to, if you wanted to turn off and say, you know, $100, you know, take it or leave it, you can absolutely do that as well.

number of creators needed.

If you want to set a certain limit, daily job limit, you could do that as well.

Again, most folks decide to leave this since you're only, you're only paying for creators that you approve.

And then next up here, again, it's just going to have the brand name, the product that we brought in.

So all this should, should auto populate here for the delivery.

Definitely recommend keeping this at reimbursement.

This is going to be the default toggle that it'll be on.

so this is going to be what I talked about before for is creators are going to be buying your product upfront and then once the job is fully completed, then they will get reimbursed for that product.

But if for some reason you wanted to just send them, send them products as a sample, you can do that here as well.

and then shipping cost is optional.

If you want to have the creators pay for shipping, it is something that you're going to have to reimburse them later on.

So oftentimes brand just, just decide to leave this at zero and cover the shipping for those product samples.

And then once we move on to the final step, this is going to be the campaign summary where we've got everything.

Just double, triple check, make sure everything here looks good.

And then for the payment, if you have any money in your promo wallet, or your join brands wallet, those are going to be automatically pulled first, before a, before a credit card will get charged.

something that we do offer is.

So with the credit cards, those do incur a three and a half percent processing fee.

So we do offer the option to wire funds into your wallet, if you want to avoid those three and that three and a half percent fee.

So that's an option as well that you can take advantage of, help you save a little bit of money.

And from there you're going to go ahead and create your campaign.

It's going to go ahead and get submitted for review and then once it passes, that review process gets checked out, campaign will go live and you'll be ready to go hiring your first creator.
